DAMAI INDAH CRUISE IN LANGKAWI
Make wonderful and lasting memories with our luxurious vintage-style cruise
Originally from good old Germany, Eva started her sailing career after she met her husband in 1991.
Together the couple left Germany in the year 2000 to sail around the world on their yacht DADDELDU, a 45-foot sailing boat.
For more than 5 years that boat and the oceans of the world had been their home. On that life-altering voyage they crossed the Atlantic, the Pacific, Melanesian Sea, Banda Sea and Straights of Malacca. Exotic destinations such as the Caribbean, Panama, Galapagos, Easter Island, South America,
Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and much more had been in their logbook.
Together the couple arrived on Langkawi in November 2005. Actually they just wanted to stock up and then continue their journey. But as many other cruisers they fell under the spell of the island and the charming people and stayed. Eva bought her first boat DAMAI INDAH in December 2008 and her second boat DAMAI INDAH LAGI in July 2011.
Jerry quit his job in the oil industry at the young age of 47 years. He then bought MARGARITA, a 55 ft sailing boat from the brand Formosa, a beautiful boat, very much like DADDELDU.
Together with his wife Anna he sailed for 17 years the Mediterranean Sea and eventually via Suez and India to Malyasia and ended up on Langkawi.
MARGARITA was moored in the marina of Rebak Island at the west coast of Langkawi, opposite Pantai Cenang.
On the 24th of December 2004 he was sitting in the office of the club, Anna was on the boat. When he looked up and out of the window he saw the masts of his boat moving; as MARGARITA had wooden masts he realized that the other boat were as well moving, just a moment later.
MARGARITA had wooden masts he realized that the other boat where as well moving, just a moment later. Then he ran out of the office and toward the boats. A total chaos in the marina when all the jetty broke of and where pulled out of the narrow passage towards the sea.
